Cougars Fall on the Road at Feather River
The Lassen College men’s basketball team suffered a tough road loss Saturday night, falling to Feather River 83-36 in Golden Valley Conference action. The Eagles set the tone early, building a 36-20 halftime lead before pulling away in the second half with a 47-point surge.
Lassen struggled offensively throughout the night, shooting just 28.3% from the field and 2-of-14 (14.3%) from three-point range. Isaiah Garcia led the Cougars with 16 points and three steals, knocking down seven field goals and two three-pointers. Jailen Childress added eight points off the bench, while DeCarlo Browne contributed five points and four rebounds. Isaiah Lassiter battled inside, finishing with 10 rebounds.
Feather River shot an efficient 51.6% from the field and recorded 24 assists on 32 made baskets, consistently finding open shooters and finishing in transition. The Eagles also forced 25 Cougar turnovers, turning defense into offense throughout the contest. Lassen will look to regroup and refocus as conference play continues, aiming to bounce back with improved ball security and offensive execution in their next matchup.
