Cougars take on De Anza

On Friday, February 17th, the Lassen Beach Volleyball team faced off against De Anza College at Monterey Peninsula Park. The team dropped the contest 1 – 4, with the sole win coming from the #2 seed Hannah McLauchlin and Olivia Nord, winning 21-19 and 21-7 against De Anza’s Rachel Walkup and Frankie Radilla. In other contests, we saw tight sets from our #3 Josie Booth and Abigail Racca as well as our #4 seed Katelyn Sanchez and Molly Zimmerman.  “In this contest, we saw a lot of good rallies and play. I liked how we moved in the sand better this week versus last. We are starting to understand the new sport better, but De Anza is a year ahead in the development, and it showed today,” Coach Morris said.
