Cougars split games against ARC and Delta

On Friday, April 21, the Lassen Cougars Beach Volleyball team faced off against American River College and San Joaquin Delta College at the University of Pacific Beach courts. The team first played ARC and was defeated 0 -5. Each beach pairs team saw one set of great improvement, including Hannah McLauchlin and Cayton White pushing the set to 23-21, almost forcing a 3rd set. There was also tight sets from Olivia Nord and Taysha Ortega, losing the first set 21-17, Taylore Somerville and Josie Booth losing set one 21-18, and Katelyn Sanchez and Sylus Moore losing set one 21-17.  The Cougars also played Delta winning the contest 3-2 as Delta had to forfeit three pairs of matches due to a limited roster. “This past Friday, we saw improvement in the sand but then had to battle heat that we have yet to see. The sand was hot, and it was 80 plus degrees out, so I was really proud to see us continue to grind through all of the elements we have dealt with this season,” said Coach Morris.
